2017年9月12日，第十三届中华人民共和国学生运动会（大学组）世界游泳锦标赛，200米蛙泳，江苏省选手陶元虎以2分15秒57的成绩夺得季军。

2018年1月19日晚，2018年全国春季游泳锦标赛南北区赛事，江苏选手陶元虎以1分01秒81获得男子100米蛙泳冠军。
